Your next task on your blog is to post an account of your work on your preliminary task. Look below for guidance on what you should include on your blog. This needs to be completed over half term ready for me to review by Sunday November 1st. Between now and then, have a good break!

What to include in your blog for the continuity task.

1) A description of the task: “A continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom he or she then exchanges two sentences of dialogue. This task should demonstrate three principles of continuity: match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180 rule.”

Include a definition of each of the three principles to show that you understand them and why they are important.

2) An account of how you decided on your idea.

3) A description of all the planning you did, including storyboarding, writing a shooting script, organising actors, props, costumes, locations.

4) A description of the filming process, including mistakes you made and how you put them right.

5) A description of the editing process including a careful explanation of the decisions you took and the reasons for those decisions.

6) An evaluation of the finished product, its strengths and weaknesses and anything you would have changed.
